The Harris Tweed Hoody
Since 2011 I’ve been making the iconic Harris Tweed hoody, inspired by adventures in the British landscape and designed to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
Each hoody is handmade to order; choose your size and tweed from our current collection below. (Other tweeds can be chosen using our bespoke service)
Every metre of Harris Tweed cloth is hand-woven in the Outer Hebrides and individually crafted into hoodies at my Cornish workshop.
Our current Tweeds
‘DJ’ Red
A tweed with stunning depth and interest in the abundance of coloured flecks within the yarn. Reminiscent of the winter light that illuminates the Harris hills. Woven by Donal John Mackay of Luskentyre, Isle of Harris.
Moor Purple
The colours of the heather moor in full bloom. Rich purple with flecks of white and vivid green, like the moorland plants of high summer. Woven by Donald John Mackay of Luskentyre, Harris.
Burgundy
A sophisticated and deeply rich hue of Burgundy, enhanced by flecks of navy and royal blue within the yarn. A colour found in the seasonal haw berries and brightly painted fishing boats. From the Harris Tweed Hebrides Mill, Shawbost, Isle of Lewis.

The Style
The Harris Tweed hoody can be made as a pullover or with a full length zip.
Unisex, regular fit.
Cosy hood with high collar.
YKK metal zip.
Hand warmer pocket/s at waist.
Stretch side panels for maximum wearing comfort.
Jersey cuffs and hem for classic hoody styling and minimum drafts!
Fully lined with super soft and warm jersey sweatshirt fabric. (Produced from recycled plastic bottles and production-waste recycled cotton fibres) Hardwearing, comfortable and environmentally conscious.
Bespoke Hoodies
Our bespoke hoodies can be made using any Harris Tweed from the full Mill collections.
Bespoke hoodies can be made in your choice of any tweed and jersey lining colour. I can also cut your hoody to custom measurements - perfect for long arms or midway between sizes.
Bespoke pricing starts at an additional £40, depending on your own unique requirements.
An initial deposit is required to confirm your order whilst we decide upon the finer details.
