Burnt

Roasted by choice
This strip of white skin evidence
This marker of carelessness
This forgetting of time.
Admission of guilt: I wanted it.
That sizzle of hot skin
Those red lines of recklessness
A crisp line of consequence
of no sun-cream deliciousness
